This site provides access to the UCAR's archives of various modeling datasets, including ECMWF/TOGA operational analysis and ERA-15 Global Re-analysis.
Antarctic/Southern Hemisphere Real-Time Forecasts:
Antarctic Mesoscale Prediction System (AMPS)
AMPS is an experimental system employing models run at NCAR and dedicated to numerical weather prediction in Antarctica. AMPS employs The Polar MM5, a version of the Fifth Generation Pennsylvania State University / National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) Mesoscale Model (MM5) which has been modified by the Polar Meteorology Group of the Byrd Polar Research Center for use over extensive ice sheets.
BPRC 60-km Polar MM5
This forecast model is run by the Polar Meteorology Group at the Byrd Polar Research Center as a back-up to the Antarctic Mesoscale Prediction System. The model is also run for longer-term climate studies.
ECMWF Southern Hemisphere Forecast
This site provides the sea-level pressure and 500 hPa geopotential height charts for the ECMWF global forecast model 3-6 day forecasts.
MRF SLP Analysis and MRF 500 hPa Geopotential Height AnalysisThese analysis products provided by the University of Wisconsin's AMRC are from the National Center for Environmental Prediction's (NCEP) Medium Range Forecast (MRF) Model. It is updated every 12 hours.
