Antarctic Meteorological Research Center
The University of Wisconsin's AMRC provides real time and archived data from weather stations, satellites, rawinsondes, numerical models, etc. for Antarctica.

Automatic Geophysical Observatories
These stations (operated by Augsburg University/University of Maryland) are dedicated to geophysical research, however they provide useful meteorological data from the remote interior locations of Antarctica.

National Snow and Ice Data Center
NSIDC archives the data collected by scientists working in the Arctic and Antarctic.

Antarctic Meteorology Online from the British Antarctic Survey
This site provides access to archived data transmitted via the Global Telecommunications System, as well as up-to-date weather station data.

Italian National Antarctic Research Program (PNRA)
PNRA archives data collected by Italian scientists in Antarctica, as well as the network of Italian weather stations in Victorialand, Antarctica.

Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute
Atmospheric data from Russian stations back to the IGY.

Rogers NAO Index
This index measures the strength of the North Atlantic Oscillation. The North Atlantic Oscillation is the opposition noted in sea level pressures in every month of the year between the subtropical and subpolar Atlantic.

Global Analysis and Re-analysis Model Data Archives:

NCEP/NCAR CDAS Reanalysis Project
This site provides access to the archives of the NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis products.

UCAR Data Support Section Dataset Page
This site provides access to the UCAR's archives of various modeling datasets, including ECMWF/TOGA operational analysis and ERA-15 Global Re-analysis.

Antarctic/Southern Hemisphere Real-Time Forecasts:

Antarctic Mesoscale Prediction System (AMPS)
AMPS is an experimental system employing models run at NCAR and dedicated to numerical weather prediction in Antarctica. AMPS employs The Polar MM5, a version of the Fifth Generation Pennsylvania State University / National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) Mesoscale Model (MM5) which has been modified by the Polar Meteorology Group of the Byrd Polar Research Center for use over extensive ice sheets.

BPRC 60-km Polar MM5
This forecast model is run by the Polar Meteorology Group at the Byrd Polar Research Center as a back-up to the Antarctic Mesoscale Prediction System. The model is also run for longer-term climate studies.

ECMWF Southern Hemisphere Forecast
This site provides the sea-level pressure and 500 hPa geopotential height charts for the ECMWF global forecast model 3-6 day forecasts.

MRF SLP Analysis and MRF 500 hPa Geopotential Height AnalysisThese analysis products provided by the University of Wisconsin's AMRC are from the National Center for Environmental Prediction's (NCEP) Medium Range Forecast (MRF) Model. It is updated every 12 hours.
